| Topic | What's a game that wasn't very good but you loved and played the shit out of? |
| Esrac 09/11/17 8:03:59 AM #20: | Brigandine: Legend of Forsena. It was an obscure Atlus game way back on the PS1. You pick one country to play as (Norgard, Iscalio, Carleon, New Almekia, Leonia, or Esgares Empire). You have to conquer all other nations on the continent by capturing all enemy castles in turn-based battles in which you field your rune knights, of which there are varying classes (barbarians, samurai, mages, clerics, valkyrie, etc) and the summoned monsters they can control (dragons, wyverns, vampires, angels, Holmes, etc). You win a battle by eliminating the opponent's rune knights. The game was really pretty simplistic and easy and there were hints at a deeper storyline that never really go anywhere (like a sorceror named Bulnoil who shows up when you defeat Esgares Empire and prove to be much more powerful than anyone else and wants to revive some world ending serpent, but doesn't really show up again even when you beat the game). But teenage me really enjoyed playing the game with every nation. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
