Why is the term "People of Color" used?
East Asians and some Hispanics are probably lighter than, say, Southern Europeans.

It's used to avoid using the phrase non-whites, my only guess is they think something about power or default color or whatever, fuck if I know. I just love it because then it gives me an excuse to screw with em and say colored people. Because it's literally the same thing.

I really don't get where that term comes from in the first place considering white people are more colorful. Almost every other race has black hair and brown eyes across the board but white people commonly have blue, green, gray, or hazel eyes and blonde, red, or brown hair in addition to those.

I guess they saw white people like the whiteness of a canvas or piece of paper and everyone else was "colored in". I really have no idea. Light beige is just as "colorful" as any other shade of brown, lol.
