I've found Reddit is a much more amicable place and the key difference is there mods are generally consistent with the rules and aren't shy to enforce them.

I'm feeling the same way these days. I used to dislike reddit for its interface and community a lot, but the more time I spend there the more I've enjoyed it in comparison to this site. Better communities for discussion and more vigilant moderation across the board.

Ditto. I always avoided it until this year. I finally just reached the point here where I needed to go somewhere else. The shear amount of anti-SJW posts that pop up on the PS4 board were enough, I go there to talk about videogames and not to see people try and stir politics into them. Right now I'm simply trying to break a 16 year habit.

yeah I was just in a topic about a guy saying he wondered why their where no gay characters in said game and wondered if the sequel would (apparently previous titles had gay characters)

first it devolved into into people accusing him of being a crybaby demanding LGBT stuff be forced into gaming then it devolved into discussing the pros/cons of the electoral college
