It's true though?

Hot Pockets disprove the statement entirely.

Hot Pockets have liquid contained inside a solid so it's going to be heated unevenly no matter which method you use.


Hot pockets also have those sleeves, the purpose of which is to absorb some of the waves as a way to heat the crust right. The idea is that since the more liquid inside heats up faster it'll be even.

It just doesn't work in practice well (for hot pockets.)
