Hated the gameplay of the first 2. Played through all of the 3rd. From what I remember from looking up backstory and playing the 3rd game, Triss cast a spell on Geralt to make him fall in love with her. And that Yennefer is Geralt's "one true love" due to fate, or something like that.
It's something from the third game. It's even in the books, the short story called The Last Wish, which is the same name as the sidequest, that tells of how Geralt and Yennefer met in the first place.
What Triss did was just take advantage of an amnesiac man who she'd been in love with for many years. ---
