| _BlueMonk 09/09/17 2:18:29 PM #1: | chinese american student of mine was asking why she always had to call her older family members "uncle" or "auntie" even though they're not actually an aunt or uncle. i said its respect based on age. she looked puzzled. i asked if she ever heard of Confucius, and she had no idea. so i had to explain how he was a famous scholar that basically outlined the basis for Chinese/Asian culture and he was really big on age. sad! --- One in a Million, TWICE!
