Remake of a classic horror movie, which happens to be based on one of Stephen King's greatest books. Or maybe it's a movie based solely on the book, without intentions of being a remake of the old IT movie. I haven't watched the movie yet but those are my plausible reasonings. Yes I get that's what it is, but like, there was not anywhere near this level of hype when Evil Dead came out (in what 2011/2012?)
