Racism is a form or prejudice, but prejudice is not always racism. Also, bigotry is also one of the most misused words EVER. Bigotry isn't about race, it's a general term for being intolerant about differing beliefs.
Example A Man 1: I don't like Black people because they're dangerous. Me: What makes you say that? Man 1: Personal experiences, statistics and talking with other people Me: So what about Black people that aren't actually dangerous and are constructive members of society Man 1: I have no problem with them but unfortunately they seem to be an exception from experience or the rates being too high to default to a Black person not being dangerous.
Anyone that would call that man racist is clueless on what the term racist means. The man has bias against Blacks due to bad experiences, NOT because they're Black. I know plenty of people who have flip flopped after actual experience with Blacks being their defenders and then once living among them started to be like Man 1 eventually.
Man 1 doesn't think he's better than Black people, he's just drawing conclusions based off experiences that line it up for him to feel that way. He'd have NO problems being among any Black people that weren't dangerous and is someone who would like for them to stop being dangerous. He WANTS them to do well. A racist doesn't think like that or care because their reasoning isn't based on those things, it's based SOLELY on their race.
Example B Man 2: I don't like Black people because they're not as smart as my race due to having smaller and less evolved brains, they contribute nothing good, they're ugly, they're sub-human and so many things just because they're Black and they're ALL the same. There's no such thing as a Black person on par with someone of my race. Me: Yeah, there's not point in even trying with you. You're set in your ways, period.
That's an actual racist here, this is racial SUPREMACY here. He believes that RACE dictates your worth in life and that people are lesser or better due to race. This is the ACTUAL definition in the dictionary about a racist. If you're going to say man 1 and man 2 are the same, you are an idiot plain and simple lol.
If we're going to go by such screwed up definitions of racism, then I would say that not all racists are bad and some are just using their brains properly. That's because the so called racism of man 1 are things EVERYONE does everyday toward everyone regardless of race or gender whether they're consciously aware of it or not because, your brain is always going to attribute certain things and behaviors to people based on experiences and knowledge you already have.
