Oh

Is it really funny? I was excited because it looked like it was just going to be scary, which is why I was so interested. If I'm going to laugh more than be afraid of the clown I'm going to be very disappointed :(

I never saw the original, that's why I ask

It had a lot of laughs, but it was mainly because of the audience laughing together.

Its not going to be scary for an adult, as most of the scares are just jump scares, but the up and downs of laughs and the spooky moments make for a good flick

Was the book as funny as the film? Cause the movie was pretty funny at parts.

That's a big no

Which was better, the Tim Curry one or this version?

Original is better for Tim curry as pennywise and a few of the kid actors are missed like Jonathan brandis and such, but this one is very professional with a 35mil budgetband well done while the original is just a TV mini series so it's hard to compare

One BIG advantage the TV series has is the music cues. The music in the 2017 is kind of subtle so it doesn't detract from the film, but in the miniseries the music really pops and adds to any scare factor in a big way

Best part of the 2017 movie is the kids and their interactions, while the best part of the miniseries was Tim curry. Watch this one for kids. Watch the old one for spooky clown
