Because not the whole of any demographic in any generalization is guilty of whatever the accusation is? Do people only understand how generalizations work when their agenda is being attacked? This isn't about "accusing" anyone. It's just that people are sociologically uncomfortable with the idea that they benefit from a biased system, so any way that they can frame it that doesn't reflect their privilege allows them to just ignore the problem. --- ...
