| XIII_rocks 09/07/17 2:37:14 PM #60: | Part of the descent of Big Boss is him actually cultivating his own legend and cult of personality through the use of smoke and mirrors (ie a body double). He actually intended for his own meme to become a cult of personality-ish figure. Whereas Solid Snake was modest and insisted he wasn't a hero and that legends are "usually bad news" and that "most of what you hear is actually fiction", Big Boss actually fed into that. It highlights how great Snake actually is, and the difference between them. You might argue with how it was executed but I like that message a lot, if nothing else. --- Such a lust for revenge ...
