To play devil's advocate, I work in a hospital. Not on the medical side of things, but the administrative side of things. Morbid humor and detachment is completely natural for doctors and nurses, and quite frankly looking at a dead dude's dick doesn't seem to be an issue for me provided that they didn't do anything to the body. Cracking jokes or making comments or even admiring patients and cadavers is all very common. Just a week or two ago I overheard a conversation between doctors by their lockers talking about how they needed to work out after seeing the six pack on some dude that died in a car accident.

Sorry if that's a shock to you, but you just get desensitized to those things when you deal with it daily. Now, if we were talking about a situation where the nurses were taking pictures or hitting the corpse or engaging in necrophilia, that's an entirely different matter. Just looking or joking, though? Bad news, I guarantee that your doctors or nurses have had snide or joking comments about you or a loved one behind your back. Big whoop.

If you don't get desensitized then the job becomes too hard and you get ptsd as a doctor.

But I can't do that and it makes me ill so that's why I switched majors much to my father's dismay. Btw he works in a hospital and makes several monies
