| KJH 09/07/17 5:51:58 AM #42: | I liked the Venom twist, because I always thought Portable Ops/Peacewalker/MGS4 went way too hard on making Big Boss into this tragic hero, even though he's a flat out lunatic in MG2. Like we'd already seen his legend wasn't entirely of his own making given The Boss threw the fight against him, early on in MGSV we're told that his surviving MSF soldiers spread word about him and helped make him a legend while he was in a coma, and then it turns out the majority of BB's legend is actually just his best soldier acting out an idealized version of BB better than BB himself probably could've done. It's like how Raiden was a nobody that got made into an equal to Solid Snake. That, and using Venom like that (especially given how he felt about what they did to The Boss) is a better fit for sliding into how he is in MG2 than killing child soldiers would've been. --- You can't live without a spinal cord, son.
