I thought it was due to marketing. You know, like how the Vita was marketing as "console quality gaming on the go", despite everyone knowing damn well that consoles were aging horribly at that time, and everyone and their mother knew that the PC version was a full generation ahead (even as far back as Crysis 1, which released nearly 10 years ago, but fully reaching its stride by the time Crysis 2, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Battlefield 3 continuing to rub salt in the wound). So, if you think that horribly aging hardware is "quality gaming", then be my guest. Just don't delude yourselves that everyone else thinks so. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
