This is literally the worst year for gaming, at least if you're a PS4 player.
most people own at least 1 console and a pc that can play modern games on minimum
Most people don't own a PC capable of gaming aside from maybe low spec stuff like Minecraft. You speed far too much time in techie internet circles if you actually believe most people having a console and a gaming PC.
you're overestimating how powerful a pc needs to be to play a game at minimum specs
Many people don't even own desktops anymore and just have laptops with integrated graphics or very low end dedicated GPU's, even a lot of people with desktops just have basic prebuilts with Intel HD series integrated graphics and even if they have one capable enough of handling 720p/low/30fps many people just simply don't play PC games and just play on their PS4/Xbox. I'd say the majority of people with consoles just have one of the two that they play on. Hanging out on places like GameFAQs and other tech/gaming circles on the internet really makes the whole "owning multiple current gen consoles and having a nice mid range desktop" thing seem much more common than it is for the average gamers.
you can buy cheap ass $500 laptops with dedicated graphics that will run modern games at minimum settings. most people own something like that. not many people buy a $2000 ultrabook with 17 hours battery life and no gpu ---
