If it fails it fails but I'm certain it's not going to have anything to do with your "on the spot" assessment of a situation that you have only passing knowledge of. I get it, it's the internet and we can't instantly know everything about the other posters but when you start talking in broad strokes with what seems like mostly a jaded/cynical outlook it becomes easy to brush off as not actually having any sort of investment in the conversation.

When that happens I tend to think you clearly don't care enough to treat other with respect that I can treat you like a piece of shit and make plenty of assumptions myself. Of course this just continues the cycle and both of us end up writing off the other as "not getting it". To avoid this I want to say I'm sorry for making presumptions about you and would appreciate the same courtesy.
