Because it's very clearly sarcasm all the way down to the tone of voice he was using. It's the same reason I didn't get offended by that dude doing the "straight ban" in that town you can pay to be mayor of. Because if you read it he's clearly not actually saying anything... Heterophobic? And was poking fun at the language used by homophobes and also Trump's travel ban as well. He very clearly wasn't actually being serious and I feel like this is the exact same thing.
I'm not saying it was okay, he should probably get a slap on the wrist and potentially some unpaid time off for it at the most because as I said it was very stupid and unprofessional, but to say that he was being serious or even worse trying to use this as proof of systemic racism and cops out for minorites blood is beyond stupid and counter productive for stopping cops out there who are legitimately racist and target or profile minorities. Talking about this and leaving out the obvious sarcasm is just going to lead to people assuming the next time they hear something like this that "oh there must be some context people are leaving out again like with that other guy"
