That means he molded that single strategy on the fly every time he fought against a different player and did it so well that he came out on top every time. That's the thing. Mayweather has gone into most of his fights with the same defensive style and figures out how to use it to his advantage against everyone he fought against, regardless of his opponent's style. There was a while where he was getting trained by his uncle instead of his father. He took a lot more punches during those fights, but still came out on top. Then his father started training him to use that defensive style again and he's absolutely hard to hit. Like he did against McGregor, Mayweather goes into fights with a defensive gameplan. He figures things out in the first few rounds, then completely controls the fight. So yeah, Mayweather is a great boxer. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
