That happened to a guy I worked with. He and his wife were having issues, and decided to separate until they worked things out. Eventually they started getting things sorted out and were preparing to be together again. Then she saw his dating profile on his phone one night when he was away. She made a profile of her own, stole some photos from a random Facebook page, and contacted him. He began bragging to us at work about him getting back together with his wife, and getting a hot side chick too. This went on for months, and he was constantly bragging about his new girl, and how he wired her a bunch of money(to his wife's parents iirc), and sent her all kinds of gifts(to her friend's house). He told the "side chick" that his wife was abusing him, and that she was awful to their kids and that she wasted all of his money. That he was saving up to divorce her and be with the new girl, despite the fact that he was actually trying to fix his marriage. It eventually blew up when he was showing us the photos she sent him, and another co-worker recognized the girl as her cousin. She contacted her, showed her the profile, and contacted his wife through the dating profile. She explained the situation, and the co-worker explained to the husband that it was secretly his wife he'd been messaging. He quit work and was kicked out of his house after that.
