It's pretty strong imo, even disregarding Reflect which is godly. It's not the strength that's the issue. There's weird limits on it, they fundamentally changed how several spells worked, and it's just annoying to deal with IMO. The only actual changed spells were Fire and Cure yeah? Fire makes it more of a crowd control type deal, while they nerfed Cure cause it was ridiculously strong in KH1. I will admit I often didn't use magic too much, but once I got used to the battle system I found ways to incorporate it in my combos, rather than just using magic.
