Dunno if it has those same moments but it may feel less jarring since it's not a real-time thing and translates better on paper. There's a scene where Light literally narrates every step in his plan to avoid being caught by the camera bugs. Overly dramatic music is playing while he's just sitting in his chair. One line completely ruined any immersion I hoped to keep. He bites a potato chip like it's made of venison and says "I'll take a potato chip....and EAT!!!" --- We're whalers on the moon, we carry a harpoon, but there ain't no whales, so we tell tall tales, and sing our whaling tune. ...
