| utarefson 08/30/17 6:07:50 AM #9: | Fear and upbringing. I grew up with very different beliefs than I have now. I grew up in South Africa, a white man in a position of power. Was I racist back then? Yes..for sure. Its all I knew, as a teenager I started to question my ideas, and now as a 44 year man that has lived in and travelled the world I have none of those beliefs in me. What changed me. Exposure, to the truth, living and working and becoming friends with people of other ethnic backgrounds. Travelling the world, living in cities. There's a reason cities are liberal because they are exposed to the truth....and the truth is most people are just normal. Want to have a family, a job and be happy. They are not out to get you. Trevor Noah said the best way for a black man to change a racist's mind is to become their friends. I like that idea. --- Trump is a fake President. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
