It was a very mediocre season. It was only about tying pretty bows on everything before getting to the real plot (season 8).
No, we already know whats going to happen in season 8, it's all predictable now. Even season 7 was predictable. I guess thats part of the reason they focused on action, because theres fewer chances for crazy twists and liked characters getting killed. -With 3 armies left, its clear that Dany could overpower cersei at any time and take her out. Cersei clearly has the weaker situation, even with the giant crossbows -Dany and Jon will always do whats "right" and Cersei will always do the most evil thing possible. GOT wants you to HATE the characters not just dislike them. -If Dany took out cersei first, then its jon + dany to fight the white walkers, and thats a lame "final" battle because the white walkers aren't as antagonizing and hate provoking as Cersei. Cersei will most definitely be the final boss. -So the only way the show can even out the odds is to have Dany waste her time with the white walkers while getting more dragons killed while cersei buys up this mercenary army with 20k soldiers -So once jon + dany get done with the white walkers (which will involve a hero fighting the knight king. this will likely be jon) -That white walker showdown wont happen til at least midway through the season because they still have to go through the politics of all the north business with the northern families not being happy with jon bending the knee and going crazy about how he's making the same mistake as robb with a foreign whore. and they still have to show cersei building up her army. and they stillhave to show them making weapons out of the dragon glass. -Eventually they'll be down to 1 dragon, danys army, northern army, they'll be significantly weakened, and they'll go on to fight cersei who will be now pretty damn strong (so that we are all scared and shit) -They'll eventually fight and likely arya will kill cersei and it'll be pretty epic. Hound will end up killing his brother. Yara/Theon will kil euron. etc -Jon will be the king, the only question that remains is, will he marry dany knowing that she's his aunt? cuz now they're gonna hvae a kid, likely.
Too predictable I can't see any of that happening maybe some but not that type of ending ---
