Something millions still believe. Or when they claimed that "Zimmerman only won because they tried to pin murder on him" which millions still believe. The entire thing was a media shit-show that made a lot of people collectively stupider, more violent and put an innocent man into millions of dollars of debt, ruining his life and marriage. It's absurd on every level. And the saddest part is the people don't want the truth. You will never hear someone say "Oh I didn't realize Stand Your Ground was irrelevant to the case, I was wrong.
