Mayweather legit beat every hall of fame fighter of his era..

Hes criticized by tryhard armchair edgelords who criticize him for not taking high risk, low reward trap fights that "hardcores" speculated he could lose due to styles/matchup crap..

None of those fighters, and I will list them because I actually know a ton about boxing and the boxing subculture on the internet, were big money fights or even names that really hold up much in hindsight.

We're talking Antonio Margaritos, Paul Williams..recently Golovkin....

Basically big ass dudes that had like 5-6 inches of height on Floyd and mind you Floyd spent his entire career post age 30 fighting much larger men at a weight class he was probably too small for because there was more money in that division.

Much like when he fought De La Hoya at the tail end of his career at Junior Middleweight which was damn near skipping 2 weight classes while Oscar had been fighting at middleweight for years before then.

But dont believe any of the bullshit the boxing hardcore subculture spouts man.. they are as bad as the pro wrestling crowd.

A good example of that is when Floyd fought Zab Judah who was a much bigger name in America than Carlos Baldomir, being a known TV name from Brooklyn. The subculture absolutely hammered him for "ducking" Baldomir because Baldomir, who was basically an unknown journeyman took a decision off Judah recently and was the lineal champion, ergo Floyd was scared and handpicking his opponents.

It even escalated to some cringeworthy interview on ESPN where a media interviewer took Floyd to task for ducking this 41-9 journeyman who won all of one relevant fight on TV.

Floyd eventually end up fighting the dude a few months later and made him look like the journeyman bum he was. Won I think all 12 rounds.

To this day none of these so called hardcores that took him to task give him any credit.. and rightfully so, no one gives a fuck about Carlos Baldormir.

Much like no one gives a fuck about Margarito, or Paul Williams or any of these other B-grade no draw fighters that Floyd may have avoided fighting due to not making any sense logistically to fight.

Literally the entire argument is predicated on the fact that people hate Floyd for many reasons (his personality being number 1) and they want to see him lose, and in there heads they think of all these scenarios where he would lose, like losing to an athletic, awkward 6'2 oversized welterweight against a 5'7 dude fighting 2-3 divisions up from his optimal weight class(peak Floyd was basically a Super Featherweight or a Lightweight) completely ignoring the fact that this fighter really had not earned the right to fight Mayweather whatsoever.
