McGregor had to change the style that made him what he was, how he trained for his entire life, and suddenly become a boxer for the first time in his life. Mayweather, the current best boxer in the game, undefeated, could fight the way he has his entire life because it's his sport. I know it would never happen, but the gloating is a bit stupid considering the facts. The tables turned, McGregor undoubtedly wins the MMA match.
