That's interesting and something I have observed in my experiences.

Black people tend to consider half-blacks and quarter-black people as being full members of the black community.

But a half-Asian or quarter-Asian is never seen as fully white by white people or fully Asian by Asians and tend not to feel accepted by either community. I think there's even a subreddit for this group.

Whites also generally don't consider half-whites or quarter-whites as white people and as fully the other race they're mixed with.

Black people seem almost unique in treating people mixed with their race as full members of their race.

I wonder why this is.

Blacks are more desperate for acceptance in ways that Asians and Whites are not and will not ever have to be.


What does this mean? Desperate for acceptance?
