Topic	I was just told that being half black and half white = being black

What do looks have to do with it? This is a dumb question. I mean, if your black side is more prominent looks-wise, of course people will assume you're black as opposed to White. Assuming is fine. Last summer I had an old white lady walk up up to me on the beach and say "excuse me, do you speak English?" She assumed I was not American.
