But if I didn't know how nonsensical it was compared to how seriously the source material played out I don't think I would have enjoyed it. Ryuk was amazing and the movie is worth it just knowing how much he gets away with. Kudos to Dafoe. Hated Misa Amane in the original and now Mia Sutton wound up the most competent character in the movie. The only one that doesn't flip flop in motive or personality.
