I'm white, my grandparents came here from Italy with next to nothing. They were discriminated against and oppressed. Should I be compensated for that? I'm not rich, I sometimes get pulled over by the police, I don't receive any special treatment, and I work for everything I have. Where's this white privilege that supposedly exists?
You have no idea what white privilege actually means. It means your sucky life would suck even harder if you weren't white, not that white people are all millionaires.
You're clearly the expert. In an intelligent way, please give me an example of my white privilege. I'm pretty sure no special treatment covers it all
As Golden Road said, you're misrepresenting what privilege is.
If life was a video game (an MMO, for purpose of analogy), privilege would be the difficulty setting, and "straight white male" is the lowest setting.
This does not mean that any part of the game is completed for you; you still have to do that yourself. It does not mean that when you randomly generate your character you will not wind up with shitty stats or low starting cash or spawn in a bad area (although, statistically speaking, your odds of having better rolls in those last two categories are improved, though far from guaranteed). It doesn't mean that there are no difficult areas of the game that you will struggle with.
The only thing it means is that specific parts of the game are easier for you than it would be for someone with a different difficulty setting if all else was equal.
Note that this also does not mean that you will automatically do better than those playing on higher difficulty levels. Maybe they rolled better stats than you or those stats are better distributed to yield a successful character. Maybe they specialized in a more lucrative area or their starting wealth roll was good. Or maybe they're just flat-out better at playing the game than you are. You can play on the lowest difficulty setting and still lose, be that through poor planning, poor execution, or just simply bad luck.
Saying "Well I'm white and male and my life still sucks" does not disprove that privilege exists and you benefit from it. Again, white privilege is not someone who comes along and hands you a free university degree and six figure income - you still have to work for that shit yourself if you want it. It is simply a statement that you will not experience, or will only experience to a much lesser extent, some of the inherent challenges in life (systemic discrimination, bigotry, sexual violence, etc.).
