Invest in some good fertile land, plant crops, and you get get some good profit from your initial input/. Hell, I can almost guarantee that if I were to work my ass off and built a profitable farm and leave it to the people the woman described, she'd have a pissy fit about being forced to relive her ancestor's history. ...
