That's like saying if someone put my favorite meal out, I'd want to eat it no matter what. What if I'm not hungry? I'm not going to stuff myself just because the opportunity presents itself.

It's pretty common not to have the time or energy to be in a relationship. One could also feel like they aren't ready to have a relationship at the moment (perhaps they're going through a lot emotionally, or they're trying to improve themselves), or they could simply prefer being alone. Not everyone's ideal life features a partner.
