You kill 100 innocent civilians, god knows how many people you will radicalize. Overwhelming firepower and airstrike after airstrike will only prolong the war and lead more once-innocent people to radicalize and join the ranks of ISIS. Those people were prone to becoming radicals anyways, so who cares.
