As FFVIII's lone champ, Zell has had a good run for most of his tenure. He has eight top 25 finishes, with three of them being top 10s, including a victory over Yuffie in the finals of CX. He's struggled quite a bit in the last several contests though. He only has two upper half finishes since CXIII, and so he has steadily been declining in the STATS. With this finish, Zell drops from 64.76% to 61.65%, falling from 21st to 28th place overall.
Because of his recent struggles, Zell's STATS are notably worse in the New Era. There, he takes a big tumble from 56.03% to 48.69%, sliding from 37th to 50th place.
