That's how GOP partisans work. They do terrible things, justify it by pointing out anecdotal incidents of violence from the opposition, then use that to conflate hate groups and those who hate hate groups as the same thing. Every moral, rational human being immediately sees through this school-yard logic, and continues to call them nazis.

That_Happened's school yard bully analogy is the perfect representation for what is going on right now. The bully who fights, and the bullied who fights back are not the same, though the bully desperately wants people to think so, because it enables him to continue his in his ways.
