Thoughts on upcoming events:

* How do you melt an ice wall? Dragonfire. Nice job breaking it heroes.

* With dragons being so obviously vulnerable to the walkers, the only realistic solution (and the only reason Gendry can possibly still exist as a character) is for him to re-invent Valyrian steel with the dragonglass horde and Drogon's flame.

* Sam probably uncovered the secret of creating this in the Citadel's restricted area, even though it's supposed to have been entirely 'lost'. The idea that the Citadel is holding out on information is one I think is semi-consistent with the books (there was an anti-magic faction there; in the show it seems to be the only faction)

* I think Bran is working with Arya for a double-double play against Littlefinger. He's pitting Arya against her sister, but Bran is showing her that and she is keeping up the guise so Littlefinger doesn't realize how screwed he is. She's waiting to catch him in the act, and Bran knows exactly when that will be. If they're *not* doing that, the showrunners have literally no idea how to use Bran which would be sad.

* Sending the hound back with the wight is clearly to justify Cleganebowl, but he's wanted for desertion. Showrunners: "Eh whatever."
