I think that closing off their meetings to other races is a foolish move because it alienates potential allies for us. This is coming from my experience as a volunteer in the Vietnamese community and being Black. If they had closed out meetings at my college for only Vietnamese people, i never would've bothered to learn more or understand their culture.

I think they could've picked a better name. People immediately attack the name and you have to waste time explaining that the name isn't saying "Black lives only matter" but it's more like saying "Black lives matter too." A name like "Enough is Enough" as suggested by other activists would've been wiser and more inclusive.

They need to also sever ties with radical activists. Disgusting people like Yusra Khogali (Co-founder of BLM Toronto) have no business representing the community. She's a bigot and has literally referred to white skin as sub-human.
