I don't believe Antifa is actually about any form of politics. It more seems to be an excuse to commit violence. They picked the most extreme ideology that would allow them to forcibly suppress the opposition. Which is a tactic that is closer to fascism than the definition they use to describe what they claim to be against.

The "Far-Left" and "Alt-Right" are both identarian groups. All identity politics eventually fracture. After facing outside threats in WWI, WWII, and the cold war the identity of Patriotism fractured. Race, gender, orientation, etc... became the new identity, and the identity of political ideology was quick to take advantage of this. To justify the new identity they needed some other identity to oppose. The "Alt-Right" is a response to the SJW movement. Individuals found themselves being blamed for things in the past that they had no involvement in and were thought to be resolved. So they formed a group because they were under attack as a group. But it's just fighting identity politics with more identity politics. Meanwhile the SJW movement is itself fracturing as the separate groups within shift blame for lack of success onto each other. They are essentially working toward same goal, and are using the same methodology to achieve that goal. They only differ in terms of who they oppose in order to justify their goal.

Real opposition to identity politics would be in the the form of individualism. I claim these rights for myself and extend the same rights to others. If I claim the right to judge others then others have claimed the right to judge me. If I claim the right to have something of value to say then others have claimed the right to to have something of value to say. This is where identity politics are failing. They want to judge but deny that they can be judged. They want to be heard, but don't want to listen.
