You have to realize this undercuts the legitimate points you have.

In the exact same statement that Trump said there were fine people there, he singled out and specifically and "totally" condemned the white nationalists, supremacists, and neo-nazis.

Him being under the mistaken impression that there were others there besides them points to him being uninformed and simply wrong, which he very often is. It does not point to him willfully defending Nazis, who again, he singled out in that same statement for total condemnation.

To suggest otherwise is you being either willfully or ignorantly dishonest.

This doesn't change any of the other many errors in judgment he made last week, but there is no point to be made on this particular thing outside of his typical uninformed rhetoric.
