He's been here for 50 years and his accent hasn't gotten at all better. It's getting weird. I recall years ago reading that Arnold trains / hires an aide to keep the Austrian accent despite being in the U.S. so long which would naturally cause his accent to degrade over time. Because his "funny accent" is a part of his identity as a movie star, and thus valuable for him to retain.
