no, it really is a thing, so long as you stop eating carbs (which based on the the OPs posts, he isnt eating anything). when you dont eat carbs to restock your glycogen, you shed a lot of water weight because glycogen is primarily water.

now it basically stops after a week or two, and then you are just down to fat loss if you are eating at a deficit.
