Wouldn't you start going after the more trivial stuff at that point? But not only that, if we're gonna start condemning all former slave owners, well...is this really that dumb of a question? It's not far-fetched to consider. I could care less about this dumb statue - I'm from the North. I'm afraid of the chain reaction that is already happening before our eyes, however (with other statues around the country). I understand you shouldn't keep things just because they're historical, but at the same time, we have to keep reminders around us. The Robert E Lee statue reminded us of several things - one of which was very negative and terrible, but you shouldn't try and forget the guy. You're not going to remove the dark pages of this country's history. They're permanent.
