You realize words change meaning right? You youreself said multiple times in this topic sports is defined by what people usually assume it to be in your experiences.

You'd have to be daft as all hell to not realize that means it's eventually gonna change again to encompass video games.

When that happens, I'm open to change. In the present, I'm going to use the common definition of today. Also, I didn't say sports are defined by what people usually assume it means. The common definition of a word is. Common doesn't mean it's the only one, but if you use the word, especially without context, they are going to think you mean that definition. I didn't think saying sports are thought of as athletics in most people's eyes was such a controversial statement.
