Topic	Sonic Mania... do you think 2D Sonic is back for good?

You're likely very wrong in that assumption. Mania is already at the top of the Switch's sales charts and I suspect it'll be pretty high on other charts as well. Its collectors edition was $50 and it sold out completely. The game is only $20, so it wouldn't be unrealistic to say that the "hype" is probably real. There have been hundreds on forums and social media who haven't even remote interest in the series speaking to how good the game is (definitely a lot more than that in reality) and it has received amazing reviews all around. I see Mania selling close to 1 million rather easily.
