Since the passage of the Refrigerator Safety Act in 1956, all new refrigerators sold in the United States must be designed to be "easily openable from the inside,"

Which is great and has saved lots of lives but we're talking about an infant here.

I wonder if they've ever considered making a fridge with a microphone inside that will to auto-open if it detects loud sounds inside the fridge.

Could be annoying if bottles fall over or something though.
