Wouldn't say it's the 60s without Jim Crow laws but yeah, racism is still alive and well
Yeah but it's not just white vs black.
On campus people are hella racist to me. I'm Vietnamese some Chinese. I have a slight southern drawl and a high pitched voice
Everyone always calls me Chinese or Japanese and asks me to read things. People who never hear me talk talk about me, make weird noises saying it's Chinese, say I can't understand English, say to go back to my country or that I'm just here for college (or "they're just here for college") [as in all Asians ever I guess]
But it's not considered racist by the school because I'm Asian and they're white or black. (TBH most people who hate me for being Asian are black.)
where the **** do you live? you have to be trolling for attention. asians are treated as if they are white over here in california.
the last time i heard any people assume asian people were chinese, or made any insult to asians, was when i was in elementary school
Near calirngona not in California, go to university which is where all the racists live.
But they say we are basically white and nobody gives us free scholarships and we need 4.0 to get to med school and black students need 2.5 so xD People are mean to us and we get no help!
But we aren't randomly murdered as often. So it's a trade off.
