A lot of them look awful with only a couple managing to look pretty good. When a series uses both it can be jarring because the regular animation is like a thousand times better looking. I'm not knowledgeable enough about animation to know if animated rotoscoping counts as cgi (I think it does?), but just take a look at the Aku no Hana anime which is widely regarded as one of the ugliest looking anime of all time.
