Yeah, that's probably true (though Moore is a fucking awful candidate who you could imagine underperforming in saner times).

It's a shame because Jones actually looks pretty solid (especially given how hopeless that race is for a Dem).

I mean it is true. Moore is the best candidate the dems could hope to face and Jones is actually a really solid candidate (unlike what the dems had in Montana or Georgia). But Alabama is so far red neither of those things matter in the slightest!
