18 yrs old. Outta high school. We often think of short term but what about long term??

Technically you can enlist 18...Retire 38.
Usually ONLY successful entrepreneurs have that luxury.

Imagine retiring under 40 years old. Howd you maximize the retirement benefit?hmm..

Enlist 18.
Work on bachelors degree while serving
Become NCO
Graduate.
Earn commission as officer
Retire as major or better before 40.

Of course if you still need to work for your family, youd work. But for another 20 yrs you might be able to retire twice...

Then again this route is of course dependant on the individual and everyones different. Still challenging enough to do to keep you on your toes as you age and all.

I knew a guy who was in his 60s. He spent 20 years in the army and retired. Then he spent 20 years in the post office and retired. And then he was working on base making more money. Happiest dude I have ever met.
