what the fuck? they killed off like half the side characters last season in one fell swoop in the destruction of the Sept of Baelor, to thin out the cast and save on production costs, and probably because the outline GRRM gave them wasn't very detailed on most of the side characters, so instead of trying to figure something out for them themselves, they decided to just kill them off.
When was the last time a major character died? We're nearing the end, but they're keeping everyone alive. Like in the new season's newest episode, Bronn or Jaime should have died in that battle. Or someone major should have died. But no, they don't kill any of the stars now.
Jaime dying there would have been a shit conclusion to his story. ---
